I just happened to be looking at my old posts from Roni's website, and I made a realization. I am spinning my wheels, trying to lose the same few pounds over and over and over again. Enough's enough!!! You are getting into the "season" of celebrations....first one is tomorrow (remember ol' girl---you turn 39 Thursday) "They" say that once you hit the 40's, weight loss is sooo much harder.
Okay, so your birthday comes tomorrow, and then next is Evan's b-day (Oct. 7th). Then, of course, is Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Year's. You always gain weight during the last few months of the year. Wouldn't it be great to actually lose during this time period. DON'T DO WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS DONE!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND INSTEAD OF LOSING THE SAME FEW POUNDS----ACTUALLY MAKE SOME PROGRESS TO YOUR GOAL WEIGHT!
YOU CAN DO THIS---DONE IT BEFORE.
GET TO YOUR GOAL-----BELOW 164 BY THE TIME YOU LEAVE FOR X-MAS VACAY. THAT'S ONLY 8 POUNDS---YOU'VE ALREADY LOST THAT AND THEN SOME SINCE THE BEGINNING OF JUNE. BUT INSTEAD OF TAKING IT OFF AND THEN PUTTING IT RIGHT BACK ON ----- LEAVE IT OFF!!!
From this moment, you have 80 days to get this done----you will be half way to goal weight (155). All you need to do is commit to 80 days.
THE COUNT DOWN IS ON!!!!! 80 DAYS, 80 DAYS....

Workin' my way back to you babe....the 160's that is!!!!
So this week was fairly successful....down 3.0 pounds/170.8(YEAH ME!!!) Only 2 more pounds to go til I get the vacation gain back down.
I made a discovery over this gain....before when I was up in the low 180's (January 2007), I felt the "FAT ME". After finally hitting the 160's again, and after coming back from vacay 5 pounds heavier, I realized the new "FAT ME"--clothes were tight and I was mushy around the middle) is now at a lower weight --say mid-170's. WEIRD!!!
So this week I will get the other 2 pounds off (my previous short term goal was to get the vacay weight off by the end of September). Long term....we will be going back to INDY in December (the week b/4 xmas), I want to be below 164.
Oh, I have also discovered a great breakfast....Peanut butter toast ---one slice of lo-cal bread (.5 pts)
1 Tablespoon RF Peanut Butter (2 pts) and hot cocoa (diet-2pts)
4.5 points for the breakfast and it carries me til lunch no problem!!!!!

Bad Girl!!!!! Bad Scale!!!!!
So, after we got back from vacation, I jumped on the scale....remember HE told me that I had a 3.2 pound gain....well that's not the entire story. By Monday of this week that 3.2 had increased to a whopping 6.0 pounds. My clothes are tight and I am just kicking myself for this.
So the official w/in this morning is that I am back up in the 170's by a lot ----173.8. I could just SCREAM!!!! Why did I go OFF Program sooooo bad? Definitely was not worth it. I keep thinking to myself that these 5 pounds will take me forever to get back off. It ALWAYS does!!!
I did get up this morning and spent 30min on the treadmill. 300 cal burn. I am spending the night at the tower (so I can get extra sleep) and I am hopeful that I will feel like getting back on the treadmill when I get off work tomorrow. We'll see.
So now a new WW week starts for me. I just want to see the 160's again and fast b/c my clothes are tight and I definitely feel squishy around the middle. Funny how just a few pounds will do that. So my goal for the rest of the month of September is to focus on these 5 pounds. GET THESE OFF----YOU WILL FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!

Whew....it's been a while!!!!
Hi girls!!! Whatz up?
Been out of commission for a while. Believe it or not I still am not 100% well. Was diagnosed with a sinus infection the Thursday before we left on vacation and took all of my antibiotic and still am just not right.
So here's what's been happin' for the past few weeks. Of course, I had an awesome time at home in INDY. Met up with lots of friends and of course, family. Strawgirl put me up for the few days I was there...and I came back only gaining 2 pounds (which I thought was okay!)
When I got back to Colorado, my in-laws were here and we did go out to dinner with them (RED ROBIN---just can't say no to those french fries ---bad bad bad!!!) Brett's parents were gracious enough to watch the boys for us Thursday night (August 30th) and we got to see KAMELOT (a band we really LUV) in concert. The concert was awesome and of course, we went out to dinner. We settled on Macaroni Grill and it was yummy! The in-laws left the next day and we packed up for our vacation.
Early Saturday morning we set out for Gunnison, CO for a rafting trip down the Gunnison River. We had a good time----first rafting experience for our boys. We've been several times without them. We were just lucky that one of ours didn't get tossed out of the raft like one little boy in the other raft that went also. SCARY!!!!
After rafting, we continued on to Ouray, CO (destination for the week). BEAUTIFUL I must say. We did drive over to Telliride one day (ski resort town) and Brett and Justin went back country camping one night (two days ---hike in, camp overnight, hike out). Evan, we have decided, is still too young to hike a long distance (w/out complaining the ENTIRE time) Evan and I stayed at the hotel and walked into town twice to go shopping.
So let's just say for about 2 1/2 weeks my eating has been terrible. When we got home, I jumped on the scale and HE said I had gained 3.2 pounds!! I am going to give myself until this Thursday to hopefully work it off and w/in on the 13th. EEEEKKKKSSSSS....I have a lot of work to do in the next 4 days if I want to see the 160's again....
YOU KNOW....THE FUNNY THING IS...DURING THIS PERIOD OF "OFF PROGRAM"----NOTHING REALLY MADE IT WORTH WHAT I NOW SEE ON THE SCALE!!!!!! FUNNY HOW THAT IS!!!!
That's all I know for now.....hubby is gone so I am going to catch up (try to catch up) on all your posts!!!!!!
